Barbie Young is an author and illustrator whose bizarre sense of humour, creativity and energy levels make most people’s head spin.
She grew up in, and still lives in by choice, Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. Apparently Redcliffe is like a seaside paradise, with perfect weather all year round and an inimitable relaxed lifestyle. Shh, don’t tell anyone!
Barbie has worked as a Journalist, Publisher and Editor, as well as a zillion other occupations that aren’t related to writing.

Q. Why is there a reference to bunny ears on the back cover of Bonkers Bookcase?
A. There’s a hundred reasons why. Barbie has a collection of ears and other headwear in all colours and assortments.

Barbie wears bunny ears because she used to work for Hugh Hefner and old habits die hard.
